Titles for Darderi, Bublik, Shapovalov, Boisson and Begu. Full report plus all the ATP beef that's fit to post BELOW.
Luciano Darderi won the ATP 250 title in Bastad, with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 victory over Dutchman Jesper de Jong. It was the 23-year-old Argentine-born Italian stallion's third career ATP crown, and he also became the eighth player with multiple ATP trophies collected in 2025, having captured the Morocco trophy in April.
"Kazakh" Alexander Bublik won his first tour-level clay-court title at the Swiss Open in Gstaad, beating Argentina's Juan Manuel Cerundolo, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3, in the ATP 250 event's final on Sunday.
It wasn't the outcome I was rooting for -- anyone else find Bublik to be incredibly annoying? -- but it was nice to see Francisco's little brother in another final, playing great in defeating top seed Casper Ruud in the quarters.
Denis Shapovalov captured his fourth ATP Tour title and second of the season on Saturday night in Los Cabos, where he defeated sexy American Aleksandar Kovacevic 6-4, 6-2.
Lois Boisson -- who stunned the field by making the semis at Roland Garros -- took out defending champion Anna Bondar in Hamburg (7-5, 6-3) to win her first WTA title.
Irina-Camelia Begu is back in the winners' circle after a three-year drought, defeating No. 6 seed Jil Teichmann of Switzerland 6-0, 7-5 in the final of the Iasi Open on Sunday -- a sweet win on home soil.
Francisco Cabral and Lucas Miedler clinched their first title of the season as a team on Sunday at the Swiss Open in Gstaad, where they earned a comeback 6-7(4), 7-6(4), 10-3 win against Hendrik Jebens and Albano Olivetti.
But I think the "losers" will be just fine ...
Top seeds Guido Andreozzi and Sander Arends capped their debut week as a team in style in Bastad, where they defeated Adam Pavlasek and Jan Zielinski 6-7(4), 7-5, 10-6 to win the title.
But I think the "losers" will be just fine ...
And the American duo of Robert Cash/JJ Tracy won their maiden tour-level trophy on Saturday in Los Cabos, where they overcame Blake Bayldon and Tristan Schoolkate 7-6(4), 6-4 in the final.
