Vermont Legalizes Gay Marriage With Veto Override

What a whirlwind. First Iowa and now Vermont? Four down ... 46 to go! And fuck you, Jim Douglas. Just because most people have never heard of Vermont ("Newhart" was a loooong time ago) doesn't mean there isn't still a separation of church and state in your state. Leave it to Vermont and Iowa to be the most progressive states in the nation, shame on us here in California for passing Prop 9. Whether you call it Gay Marriage or Civil Union, the basic premise is that every person should have equal rights.
