Knight Rider: "Grey’s Anatomy" star T.R. Knight has donated $50,000 to fight Prop 8, the proposed California constitutional amendment that would outlaw same-sex marriage in the state, The money was to have been spent on childcare for his "life partner," but the actor says this cause is too important to pass up, so he will have gal pal Katherine Heigl look after the boy instead. We Got the Book: Publisher’s Lunch is reporting that singer Belinda Carlisle has signed to write a memoir, that promises "a surprising look inside the rock 'n' roll life of this glamorous woman" while also sharing her private struggles with abuse, weight, and self-esteem, as well as a 30-year battle with drug and alcohol addiction, the story about how she figured out her career and then had to figure out her life, for publication in Spring 2010. Stopping Hate Speech: For the first time since the Advertising Council was founded in 1942, the organization -- which directs and coordinates public service campaigns on behalf of Madison Avenue and the media industry -- is introducing ads meant to tackle a social issue of concern to gays and lesbians. The campaign, which will feature appearances by Wanda Sykes and Hilary Duff, will seek to discourage bullying and harassment of teenagers who are gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender, particularly calling for an end to the "That's so gay" catchphrase that has taken over the kids of America.
