The Courtship of Harvey’s Father

Week two is now under way and it’s hard to recount all of the sights and sounds I have experienced thus far in Japan — a place I wasn’t entirely sure I would take to, having first learned existed as a boy via Mrs. Livingston (played by Oscar-winner Miyoshi Umeki) on “The Courtship of Eddie’s Father.” But suffice to say it’s been even more incredible than I imagined it would be, making me grateful I waited until I was old enough — and financially able — to fully take it all in. (That’s Mount Fuji as seen from our private onsen.)

How did I live my whole life without hot spring water pumped into my domicile?!!!

Will share more soon, but here are a few highlights so far:

My partner (who is Japanese) and I just returned after 2 weeks in Japan. It was amazing. I can’t wait to go back.

I am glad you and Damien are having a good time. Love the pictures.

How do you like the food? I may have mentioned my stepmother was Japanese. We had Japanese meals quite often. A few of my favorites are gyoza, tempura, beef curry, rice balls, fried rice, different types of soups, ramen, soba, and others. I like tofu but sushie is not my cup of tea. I don't like raw anything.

One thing you may have noticed is that Japan is a CLEAN place. Very organized and inventive when it comes to space-saving ideas.

Please travel safe and have fun.

I was in Japan for the first time last month. It was awesome, and I will be going back to see more.
