“As you saw today, she took me to the umpteenth level. She clearly hasn’t, like, lost a step at all since she’s been gone. So I feel like I played a girl who’s been on the tour for the past five years without a break. I think her game is definitely better. I mean, it was excellent before she left. But, you know, I think she’s added a lot to it.” -- Serena Williams, speaking about a rejuvenated Justine Henin, whom she defeated in the final of the Australian Open on Saturday.
(Translation: even when Justine is at her all-time best, I can beat her.)

Let's hope Henin doesn't forget it either ... why oh why did she come back? I so hate her! Long live the Williams Sisters! :-)
well done
I hate the Williams Sisters. They look and act like men. Which is fine, if they were playing men.
Interesting previous two comments.
Before Henin "retired," I didn't like her at first. Not that I liked her later, but gradually I didn't dislike her as much.
Kenneth, I just laughed out loud when I saw your little translation. I actually like Serena's game a bit better than Henin's, but the younger Williams really had to learn to be a graceful (fake or not) winner AND loser.
I agree with your translation, which is exactly why I love Serena!!! For me, she's with my all-time favorites: Martina, Monica, and Billie Jean.
