I know I'm not the first ridiculously proud (g)uncle in the world. But what a joy to have my beautiful (freshman) niece -- whose birth I blogged(!) about in 2006 -- take the train down from her college in Vermont to spend some time with Damian and me. My sister had given me a heads-up that Ally is a huge "Hamilton" fan, but had only seen the recorded version of the famed show. So surprising her with tickets to experience it on Broadway was about as good as it gets. (She loved it!) The state of the world is awfully grim these days. But getting to spend time with the people you care about most sure helps. xo

P.S. Her brother was here in October, so I guess I have to accept that they're both officially adults!
