 Cannot believe this lipstick bullshit, and how we're really supposed to take the pretend outrage seriously. I think no one is afraid of Palin's becoming president either because the past eight years have proven that anyone can "do" it. No world view, no knowledge needed -- just bully your way in.

If It's Wednesday It Must be Melbourne

I really hate celebrities who whine about how difficult their jobs are -- hey, why don't they try sitting in a cubicle five days a week?! -- but I do have to say that seeing Matt Damon's picture on the wire at the premiere of "The Bourne Ultimatum" day after day in cities far and wide gives me a better appreciation of how exhausting it must be at times. The same questions from hundreds of journalists about the same things over and over. It's a great gig if you can get it -- and it certainly pays well -- but I know how I get after a few days of little sleep (not fun!) ...
