In the upcoming film "eCupid," Marshall is in a dead-end job, turning 30, and his seven-year relationship is stuck in rut. A birthday wish brings a mysterious phone app into his life that is guaranteed to help him find love. Marshall soon gets is much more than what he had originally planned.
The trailer looks quite promising -- could this finally be another original and clever gay movie? -- and our newcomer leading man, Houston Rhines, reminds me of a young Peter Krause. (Read: he's incredibly hot in a way that only Midwestern guys can be.) You may recognize Rhines as Kelly Clarkson's boyfriend in the "My Life Would Suck Without You" video. And with supporting help from Morgan Fairchild(!) and Mike Manning (of "The Real World: D.C."), "eCupid" still maintains its low-rent gay film (lack-of-) cred.
