Stefanos Tsitsipas capped a standout week at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters on Sunday when he dispatched Casper Ruud 6-1, 6-4 to win his third title in four years in the Principality.
The win returns the Greek -- and a one-handed backhand -- back into the Top 10 after a brief hiccup.
And the Belgian duo of Sander Gillé and Joran Vliegen took out Marcelo Melo of Brazil and Alexander Zverev, 5–7, 6–3, [10–5], to capture the doubles crown.
In the Billie Jean King Cup, USA, Poland, Great Britain, Romania, Germany, Slovakia, Australia and Japan qualified for November's finals in Seville. Damian and I were actually in Tokyo when Naomi Osaka arrived to represent her homeland, but were unable to attend any of the action.
