A New Wave Xmas

Hope you're all having a Merry Christmas! I'm actually working today -- the news never stops -- but I had a wonderful time with my in-laws last night celebrating the birth of Christ. (That's what this is about, right?) While I was in Arizona for Thanksgiving I came across a bunch of old photos I didn't even know existed, mostly from the early '80s when I segued from Oliva Newton-John into my Debbie Harry phase (I'm holding the Blondie singer's official 1983 calendar, above) which continues to this day! More BELOW.

My mom really went cuckoo that year, shopping at the "punk" store called Roads to Moscow in Old Town Tempe!

With my prized "Koo Koo" light box

Missing Persons T-shirt on and digging into my new "Rock and Roll Yearbook"!

My beloved Tweet

His favorite gift of all, natch!

"Cheers Then" 12-inch single!

Yaz(oo)'s "Upstairs at Eric's" was much-appreciated! I also got the debut Tom Tom Club album that Christmas

John Taylor, eat your heart out!

Decorating the tree

Exhausted from the holiday spirit!

Christmas Eve in my Phoenix Sunsets World Team Tennis shirt

Our traditional Xmas Eve fondue

Bill in his Bow Wow Wow tee!

Debbie Harry T-shirt

This looks like 1984, when I got my Casio keyboard. A La Plage had been born the previous summer

Braces and bleach!

My Duranie sister and me with my new Siouxsie and the Banshees T-shirt in the back

Merry Christmas to you and Damian.

Who is that twink?

I tell you looking at old pictures can be a kick in the butt. Where has the time flown?

Glad you had time to spend with those you love this Christmas.

Have a great Christmas Day and week.
