If there wasn't more than one shot, I'd swear that it was photoshop. I don't know who either of these guys are, but look how much bigger the guy on the right's head is!
Straight guys simply do not get that close, even in the midst of a dramatic sports game. Straight US men usually try to keep at least 3 feet from each other, and I would think an actor trying to pretend he's straight would go even further.
