Just a quick note to say I had my "corrective" varicocele procedure this morning and everything went very well. (More about "surgery" vs. "embolization" TK, but suffice to say I have a lot of opinions about it now that I've had both.) With the exception of not "lifting anything heavy" (as if!), I'm basically OK to resume my normal life, as my body permits. I'm exhausted from getting up at 6 a.m. and taking all sorts of drugs. But other than a bit of a headache -- and a little bit of swelling -- I'm feeling quite good, and optimistic that my bonus nut is behind me. (Time will tell -- look for it on eBay.) This photo is not of me, but they actually DID stretcher me all over the place, even on an elevator and to a different floor. (Last time I just walked into the OR.) I felt like I was in a movie! Hoping to be back to blogging a bit more tomorrow, but just wanted to say thanks to everyone who messaged me. It really meant a lot.

I am a tad disappointed you're at home, if only because I never got a chance to picture your mom going all Shirley MacLaine on the staff "It's past ten. My son's nut is in pain. I don't understand why his nut has to have this pain. 'All he has to do is hold out until ten,' and IT'S PAST TEN! My son's nut is in pain, can't you understand that! GIVE MY SON'S NUT THE SHOT!"
