Sexy Todd Sanfield Slips Into 'Virgin' Territory
Photographer Kevin McDermott is back with his bubble-butt muse for a new hardcover and special limited-edition book called "Virgin Island." (Regular readers may remember his photos of Todd Sanfield in "Motel Hotel" in 2012.) "Virgin Island" -- which doesn't include any of my drawn-in Speedo trunks -- is available now HERE.

Putting Some 'Magic' in 'Mike'
Saw "Magic Mike" on Saturday night. It's enjoyable enough -- Channing Tatum is pure sex, and Alex Pettyfer is adorable -- but it sure would have been better if the plot had strayed even one iota from the formula of those kind of films. (NON-SPOILER ALERT: Guy gets mixed up in unsavory lifestyle, thinks it's great; person he has interest in disapproves so pretends to not be interested back; guy then sees the error of his ways, leaves it all behind to have the person who didn't approve. Got it!)
With Todd and Kevin
While the movie lacked surprises, the evening sure didn't. As we made our way upstairs at the Chelsea Clearview Cinema, we stumbled upon a book signing for Kevin McDermott's "Motel/Hotel" directly outside the auditorium where "Magic Mike" was showing. (Shrewdly done, Mr. McDermott!) The book is a photographic love letter to KIT212 favorite Todd Sanfield, featuring some of the model's most revealing poses yet. I had briefly met Kevin last week, but it was the first time Todd and I were face-to-face, after some six years of emailing each other (we're both Oakland County boys), so it was a most pleasant surprise. "Motel/Hotel" is available now, and is a must-have for gay coffee tables. Details HERE.
Once we got inside the theater, we were stunned to realize it was like "A Night at the Roxy," complete with a DJ, go-go boys and men galore! The gay-bar-at-a-carnival atmosphere was so over the top that it nearly rendered the film a letdown by comparison. But it was a fun evening overall, so what the hell? ...

Checking In With Todd Sanfield
KIT212 favorite and fellow Michigander Todd Sanfield is the subject of a sizzling new coffee table book, "Hotel/Motel," shot by Kevin McDermott. According to Todd, "This book by far are the sexiest images I have ever taken, as well as the most revealing. There is nothing held back, Kevin honestly captured me in a way that nobody has." Go ooooon. The book is a limited edition, and pre-orders of the 1,000 hardcover copies are on sale now HERE.
