Scenes From a Circuit Party (UPDATED With Video)
Imagine the number of lisps here ...
Via EPA:
Participants enjoy the hot summer weather during the Circuit Festival held in Barcelona, Spain, 12 August 2014. The festival is one of the most important gay and lesbian event in Europe. 80 percent of the participants come from abroad (about 50 different nationalities). Only 10 percent of the revelers are women. The event runs from 06 to 17 August.
UPDATE: A friend just submitted this video from today's pool-party festivities!
He writes:
I'm in Barcelona for the summer. A friend who knows the Circuit Festival promoter snagged an invitation for me. And the bonus? I got to see one of my favorite Jewish gay boys: Eliad Cohen. I was close enough to lick his nipples. But I resisted.

Game of Drones
Via Associated Press:
Iraqi men line up for physical examinations at the main army recruiting center to volunteer for military service in Baghdad, Iraq, Tuesday, June 24, 2014, after authorities urged Iraqis to help battle insurgents. Political leaders have agreed to start the process of seating a new government by July 1. Once a stable government is in place, officials hope Iraqi security forces will be inspired to fight the insurgency instead of fleeing, as they did in several major cities and towns in Sunni-dominated areas since the start of the year.

Sometimes we forget how special it is to have a young family in the White House.

Interesting footnote from yesterday's tragedy in Boston, via Queerty:
Javier Pagan (far right), was patrolling the finish line where the first bomb went off. The Dallas Voice reports Officer Pagan came out at 26 just one year after joining the force. His husband, Pedro, is a retired NYPD sergeant who also helped rescue victims from the World Trade Center in the weeks following the September 11th attacks.
