Dueling Dongs

I haven't bothered watching HBO's "The Deuce." It looks like "Vinyl 2: Electric Boogaloo" -- and we all know how good that was. But if Cameron Cowperthwaite and John Paul Harkins are going to do full-frontal nudity, maybe it's time to give it a shot. See HERE.

How James Franco's Gay Mustache Celebrated NYC Pride

James Franco celebrated NYC Pride by signing copies of his book of poetry, "Straight James/Gay James." Order yours HERE.

Description:
Straight James / Gay James, actor James Franco's new chapbook of poems, explores the facets of his public and private personas. Straight James / Gay James is a poetic bildungsroman--raw, candid, and uninhibited. James Franco writes about life as an actor, sexuality, questions of identity, gender, family, Gucci, Lana Del Rey, James Dean, and Hollywood. His poetic style varies from the imagistic to the prosaic. The chapbook also contains an interview of "Gay James" conducted by "Straight James." Yes, Straight James asks the question: Let's get substantial: are you gay or what?

James Franco Has a Small Penis -- Report

The Internet is buzzing with reports that James Franco tried to hook up with a 17-year-old girl he met after a performance of "Of Men and Men," even after he found out how old she was. (He later tweeted: I HOPE PARENTS KEEP THEIR TEENS AWAY FROM ME. Thank you.!) This titillating bit of news seemed like the perfect chance for me to share a little bit of gossip I've heard around the neighborhood. I'm told from a very reliable source that James has a "small penis," but "knows what he's doing with it" ... and that he is so ADHD that he will text while receiving head. (Lovely!) Perhaps more disappointing than either of these shortcomings though is this: He is apparently a BIG FAN of emojis, which he uses liberally in text messages, especially when looking to hook up. Those 35-year-old KIDS!

The Emperor's New Cockring

I saw and then forgot to write about James Franco's "Interior. Leather Bar.," which probably tells you all you need to know about it. When pressed by the film's (confused) leading actor -- pal Val Lauren -- Franco admits he's not entirely sure what the point of the project is, but adds that he thinks it's messed up that he's a little uneasy about seeing two men have sex -- "because society brainwashed me with nothing but images of straight people having sex" -- so perhaps this is righting the wrong. It won't -- it's so pornographic lite that no one but gay men will ever see it -- but that's not to say Franco's heart isn't in the right place. It's just a shame no one seems to be willing to tell Franco when to pick and choose his moments. He's like the gay-friendly boy who cried wolf, and one of these days he's gonna do something really worthwhile related to LGBT issues and it will probably be greeted with a thank-you and a yawn.

James at 15

Via NYT: “The selfie is the new way to look someone right in the eye and say, ‘Hello, this is me.’” — James Franco, “the selfie king,” reflects on the internet phenomenon.

If you say so, James.

Are You Over James Franco?

I pointed out a photo of James Franco in a magazine the other day and Michael shrugged and said he was "over him." ("He's a goofball -- he just photographs well.") Then I thought about it and realized that despite Franco's making 138 gay-related films and appearing in everything from "General Hospital" to "The Mindy Project" in recent times, I had not seen anything of his since "127 Hours," save for a Hugh Hefner cameo in "Lovelace." The Comedy Central roast didn't even excite me -- all those gay "jokes" seemed so tedious -- and who has the energy to read his book(!). He's an interesting guy but clearly needs to go away for a while, yet his IMDB page reveals he's got yet another 138 projects in production or post-production, none of which sound promising. So I post this photo of the Renaissance Man coming out of "The Today Show" this week and ask you, are you over James Franco?

Are you over James Franco?

Is James Franco's New Movie Shitty?

Delays usually aren't a good sign, but who knows ...

Via Frontiers:
James Franco stars in the new movie "As I Lay Dying," which was scheduled to go out in limited release today. Plans have changed, and it will now be available via iTunes on Oct. 22 and on DVD and through Video on Demand on Nov. 5. The rather depressing story is taken from the classic 1930 William Faulkner story which details the experience of a poor Mississippi family's grief. The story focuses on their efforts to meet the burial requests of their late matriarch, Addie Bundren, who wanted to be buried in the nearby town of Jefferson. Franco also directs a cast that features his recent "The Mindy Project" costar and "Sordid Lives" vet Beth Grant, his "Pineapple Express" costar Danny McBride, "Prometheus" vet Logan Marshall-Green, "True Blood"'s Jim Parrack and "The Help"'s Ahna O'Reilly.
