Weekend Tennis Roundup

Titles for Kamil Majchrzak, Ben Shelton, Donna Vekic and Robin Montgomery. Full report plus all the ATP beef that's fit to post BELOW.

Kamil Majchrzak's fairytale week at the Libema Open ended with the biggest title of his career as the 30-year-old Pole defeated Alex de Minaur 6-3, 2-6, 7-6(5) in Sunday's final to claim his first ATP Tour crown. Majchrzak's title run in 's-Hertogenbosch was one for the ages. Along the way, he knocked off three top-10 players in succession -- Felix Auger-Aliassime, Daniil Medvedev and World No. 6 De Minaur -- to complete a stunning breakthrough on the Dutch grass.

Ben Shelton captured the biggest grass-court title of his career on Sunday, defeating defending champion Taylor Fritz 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 to win the Boss Open in Stuttgart, Germany. The 23-year-old American improved to 3-1 against his countryman, having also beaten Fritz in the Dallas final earlier this year.

David Pel and Sander Arends won the doubles title at the Libema Open. The Dutch pair defeated the Belgian-French duo Zizou Bergs and Arthur Rinderknech in the championship match with a score of 7-6(6), 7-6(5).

Donna Vekić defeated Emma Raducanu 6-0, 7-6(6) to win the women's singles title at the 2026 Queen's Club Championships.

Robin Montgomery completed one of the most unlikely title runs in recent WTA history, winning the Libema Open as a qualifier after returning from nine months out with a wrist injury. Ranked No. 484 in the world, the 21-year-old American became the lowest-ranked WTA champion since 2023 and one of the lowest-ranked title winners of the Open Era, claiming her first tour crown when defending champion Barbora Krejcikova withdrew from the final because of illness. For Montgomery, who reached a career-high ranking of No. 95 before her injury layoff, the title caps a remarkable comeback and should propel her rapidly back up the rankings.
