We're still perplexed here in Ventura why Oxnard was #35 when they don't even have a gay bar (or an open gay community to my knowledge), while Ventura has always had a prominent gay community and a popular local gay bar ("Paddy's"- and "Incognito" and "The Library" before that) for decades.
Meanwhile, this other list came out and NYC did not even make the top 10! I guess it just depends on who is making the list and what criteria they use.

Wilton Manors, Florida doesn't make the list?
That gives me issues with the credibility or methodology.
I call bullshit. Bakersfield, but not Provincetown? And, of course, it's very coast-centric.
