Uh, Kenneth...being a "NYC boy" is like being from Amity Island in "Jaws" : "You're not an islander unless you're born here." Your b.f. counts, though. Otherwise you're being like Henny Penny : your ancestors didn't work to build the city, but you want to come enjoy it after it's already built. It's okay, though, because you seem like a decent enough person, and some of our visiting guests really are nicer than our natives.
P.S. Or maybe it was Chicken Little. But btw : My boyfriend disagrees with me, and thinks anybody paying taxes for long enough in NYC should be considered enough of a "citizen" to have a say. But he's a totally practical person and doesn't understand more esoteric things like lineage..
