The NY Post ran an article on Sunday that said David Beckham likes to wear vitamin-infused skivvies. Then the British tabloids reported that Becks spends 1000 pounds every fortnight on "pants" (those wacky Brits have their own word for everything) 'cause he only wears them once.

I don't really care about either of these stories, but it was a good excuse to repost those photos of Becks in his tighty whities and a new one sans undies ...

He already named one of his kids Brooklyn, now comes word that David Beckham is considering a post-Europe soccer career in the United States. "I want to play at the highest level for a few more years yet. I've got that planned out," Beckham said Thursday at England's World Cup training camp. "Going to America is one of the ideas that I've thought of in the future." Could be fun. It could also be American soccer's last chance. Freedom of Choice: The Supreme Court has upheld the Federal Abortion Ban, an extremely controversial piece of legislation that an anti-choice controlled Congress passed in 2003. To be honest, the news doesn't look good. Here's what the National Sexuality Resource Center suggest you can do now to fight back: 1. Sign NARAL Pro-Choice America's petition to support the Freedom of Choice Act, which would restore the reproductive rights under the vision expressed in Roe v. Wade and prevent the Supreme Court from overturning a woman's right to choose. 2. Sign the Planned Parenthood petition to express your outrage at the recent decision. 3. Discuss the decision on the American Sexuality Blog and get your anger out with like-minded folks! (WP)

Young at Hate: Three teens -- two of them 15 and one 16 -- have been charged with hate crimes, vandalism and delinquency following a series of incidents involving an Irving College, Tenn., gay man. Police say that in one incident the historic home belonging to Neal Anthony was hit by about 80 paintballs fired by a group of people all terrain vehicles. The young men were yelling gay slurs and shooting at the house. (Source)

No Bermuda (Pink) Triangle: A summer cruise for gay and lesbian families organized by Rosie O'Donnell's R Family Vacations has cut Bermuda from its planned itinerary because of possible protests by church groups in the British island territory. O'Donnell's charter company said it wanted to avoid the type of protests that greeted passengers when one of its cruises stopped in Nassau, Bahamas, in 2004, which I hear from friends was a very sad and depressing moment in the HBO documentary about the otherwise wonderful experience. I set my DVR to tape the big David Beckham-Anderson Cooper showdown on "60 Minutes" only to have the f**king NCAA basketball run late and not record any of it. (Can you just imagine Anderson pitching that story to his bosses as if it's a newsworthy story that had to be told!) I ended up watching a bit of it without sound on my computer at work last night and couldn't help laughing when I saw Anderson all but cumming in his pants while interviewing Becks. (Can you blame him?!) The body language was hilarious. The one second I had the volume on I heard AC ask in a very Beavis and Butt-head voice: "Why do you like tattoos?" Huh-huh!!! In the meantime, I found these nice photos of the object of Anderson's erection affection in the new Eurosport catalog that came in the mail.

With thanks to my guy for this one, I can't imagine I'd be nearly as composed as this massage therapist was when Mr. David Beckham showed up in her place of business for a rubdown. Luckily for her, she doesn't have to worry about getting a photo-op with the soccer stud -- it was a Cyrano de Bergerac-inspired hidden-camera prank orchestrated by Ellen DeGeneres, who may have just executed the greatest product-placement in the history of television.
