Tennis Tuesday: Hady Habib

After making history at the Australian Open by becoming the first Lebanese player to qualify for the main draw of a Grand Slam in the Open era, GQ Hype cover man Hady Habib is dreaming big and is ready to take his shot. More BELOW.





Fans waited in the rain (twice) and turned Melbourne Park into a Lebanese block party. But it took years of grinding before Hady Habib made that happen. 

With no history of tennis players in the family -- just his father's love of watching the sport -- Hady found himself [back] in the U.S. at the age of 12 somewhere between a promising amateur and budding professional. 

“I'm grateful to my family for sacrificing a lot of things for me," he says. “It was good to go through my early career moments alone….. I think that's how you find your drive and passion."
