For those who don't already know, I have a question for you. Without cheating, listen to this 1932 nursery rhyme of a song and tell me if you believe a No. 1 song from the 1980s plagiarized from it. The winning lawsuit didn't come until decades after the fact and caused a member of the offending group to all but kill himself, he was so distraught by what he'd "done."
[Redacted] took the verdict particularly hard, feeling responsible for having performed the flute riff at the canter of the lawsuit and worried that he would only be remembered for copying someone else's music, resulting in depression and anxiety.
Pretty sad considering I don't even hear what they're talking about, even after being told which song supposedly copied from it.

I remember the Kookaburra song from Kindergarten. I do not hear it all in the 1980s pop song. That's just ridiculous.

I think it was rather frivolous, considering just how many times the song had been used in other things without copyright cases happening. Somehow I dont see the girl guides doing litigation about it.
