Song of the Day: 'Kids in America' by the Muffs

Was saddened to hear about the death of Kim Shattuck, lead singer and songwriter for the Muffs, after a two-year battle with Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS). She was 56. Kim first came on my radar as a member of the Pandoras, the 1980'S Paisley Underground group that disbanded when lead singer/songwriter Paula Pierce died of a brain aneurysm in 1991 at just 31.Although the Muffs have six albums and another due later this month, they're probably best known for this cover of Kim Wilde's "Kids in America," which was used in the film "Clueless." RIP.
