Okay, maybe I'm just a stupid dumbfuck who fails to see the humor of belittling the legitimacy of gender identity. How is this "LOL"? its patently offensive. Please explain what am I missing?
@Mike: Humor derives from all sorts of situations. Was my sister-in-law "belittling" my brother's terminal cancer when she said she "envied" his lifespan on Nov. 9, 2016?
In this case, try editing a story at a news organization with a strict stylebook about a person who presents as female, goes by a (given) male name, and insists upon his/her own (made-up) pronoun and maybe then you'll get it!
