I gotta say, 1992 was only a couple years past my 1970s/'80s music heyday, but a quick look at the year's top 100 singles reveals a whole lotta crap, from Boyz II Men and Kris Kross to Michael Bolton and fifth-tier Paula Abdul (!) singles I can't even remember. CeCe Peniston nabbed three spots, this one at No. 97, "Keep on Walkin'" at No. 61 (doesn't ring a bell) and her biggest hit, "Finally," which clocked in at No. 20 for the year. Poor thing probably thought she had a career after that kind of success, but she's only managed to put out three bomb LPs since -- all in the '90s -- although it looks like she's released some singles here and there.
