With thanks to my brother Bill, who sent me this photo that pretty much illustrates everything that's wrong with society today. ("Yes, they're 'watching' the movie.") It was taken at the movie theater across the street from where I lived in Arlington, Va., but that guy is lucky I moved away. If his socked feet had come within 20 square feet of me, I'd have called James Holmes to be my date for the evening.

Have you seen what's happened to that part of Arlington in the last 5 years? At least Bob and Edith's is still there!
