Take Belinda Carlisle Home

Belinda Carlisle was on Access Hollywood Live this week, talking sobriety and upcoming Go-Go's shows. What I was most surprised to learn about her recently, though, is that the home collection she has been talking about for a few years is not only coming to fruition, it is being launched by the tony department store Bergdorf Goodman.

WWD reports that line is called Belindia (oh dear!), featuring textiles woven in India, where the pop star has lived part-time over the last couple years. The pieces are sewn by women in Calcutta in association with the Shuktara Project, which provides aid to abandoned children with disabilities. (A portion of sales will benefit the organization.) Items -- including blankets, throws, pillows and table top items such as place mats, runners and napkins in florals and two-tone color blocks -- retail for $15 to $2,000.

"I never thought I'd be doing anything like this. But Bergdorf's approached me while I was doing press for my book three years ago," Belinda said. "At first it was a way for me to feel better about all the shopping I do while I'm in India, but it's been a great challenge to put on a business thinking cap."

Good for her. But I think I'm more excited about the new solo LP and the show at the Hollywood Bowl.

Ken, Can't find an upcoming Hollywood Bowl appearance. She did a show with Rufus Wainright in 2010.
Do you know something the rest of us don't?
