It's fitting that it should be 112 degrees outside today because I just got word that a reunion of me and two of my Arizona classmates is on for this evening, one of whom I haven't seen in over 25 years!!! In what can only be called Kenny kismet, I happened to blog about both of them -- Mike and Todd, who went to Rhodes Junior High with me in Mesa, Arizona, from 1979-1982 -- a week ago today, and now Todd is in town on business! (Is that not freaky? Mike lives here, although we rarely see each other.)
The underappreciated blog post was about books I had written when I was in junior high -- including one about Mike -- my onetime arch-nemesis -- that I dedicated to Todd "for making me go all the way"! (According to the "back" of "Sweetcheeks," Todd was working on two books himself -- "Cooties" and "Junior Sigh"!) Looking forward to catching up with these two and finally finding out who they thought were the hottest teachers at the home of the Roadrunners (Mr. Puccio in his super-tight polyester pants-- pre-Algebra was suddenly my favorite subject!), who were the hottest boys (Anthony Masciangelo, whose prepubescent mustache drove me wild!), what really went on behind the scenes with Ed McMahon & Co. when Todd was later on "Star Search," and who got the furthest with hunky 8th-grade wrestling god Todd Sayer, over whose attention Mike and I subconsciously fought for in a stare-down war that would make Krystal and Alexis blush.

Junior Sigh Reunion
Full report TK. Oh, and if you would, do me a favor and go back and read the post HERE -- and leave me a comment. My feelings were kinda hurt. (Ask Todd the wrestler, it doesn't take much.)

You know, that's one reason I dislike facebook, though I have stayed on it. I post something and nobody likes it or comments and I really do get my feelings hurt. Often I find out later from their in-person comments that lots of people saw it, it's just that nobody left any feedback. I need feedback.
