Author! Author!

Attended yet another Tori Spelling book party this week -- three memoirs in two years? she's like the love child of Ruffian and Augusten Burroughs. The VIP section was packed with the usual suspects -- Randy Jones, Gerald McCullough, Clinton Kelly and Robyn Bird -- plus champagne and mini grilled cheese sandwiches.

But what promised to be just another silly soiree for a TV star turned reality queen -- oh, and Tori was running REALLY late -- was greatly spiced up when my friend Leah and I were introduced to another child star turned author, one Alison Arngrim, who played the evil Nellie Oleson on "Little House on the Prairie."

Her just-released memoir, "Confessions of Prairie Bitch," sounds like a hoot -- her stage-mom dad was gay, she and Melissa Gilbert bonded from Day 1 leaving Melissa Sue Anderson feeling left out in the cold, she's HUGE in France and studied French in Pasadena so should could make films overseas -- and by chatting with her it was easy to see how she's more than capable of commanding a one-woman show, also called "Confessions of a Prairie Bitch" at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. Tomorrow's the last night but you can still get tickets HERE!

Is it just me or does Tori Spelling look like a fabulous drag makeover?
