Mr. Carlin: 'Is it because I wear a toupe?'
Wow! Just looking at these photos of the "Bob Newhart Show" reunion at the Paley Center for Media in Los Angeles this week made me feel like I was flipping through an old family photo album. More than any other TV show, "Bob Newhart" brought my entire family together every night with reruns that ran throughout my childhood. We never tired of Jerry and Carol at the office (where's Peter Bonerz?), Mr. Carlin, Michelle, Mr. Peterson and Mr. Herd on the couch, and Howard and Emily at home -- it was sitcom perfection. (My family recites lines from the show to this day leaving non-family members wondering what the f**k we're talking about! I can't make up mind if "Bob Newhart" or "Mary Tyler Moore" ranks as my Number 1 of all time.) It's so nice to see the wonderful Suzanne Pleshette looking well (she is reportedly battling lung cancer). It's a shame her husband, Tom Poston (who hilariously guest-starred several times as The Peeper), didn't live to be there, too.

This is great! Yes, "Bob Newhart" was one of my favorites, too...along with MTM. They don't make them like this anymore! Thanks for sharing!
