RT @MarcLallanilla

Status update from my good friend Marc:

Just a quick 'Thank You' to whoever side-swiped my parked car in NYC last night, ripping off the entire front bumper. Now I get to be one of those cool guys whose car is held together with bungee cords. A hot look for 2010!

Stocking Stuffers

As always, my family, friends and lover spoiled me rotten with a bunch of great Christmas presents. (Thanks, everybody!) But the winner of the "funnest" gift has to be these Blondie buttons from my brother Bill. I had dozens of these back in the day -- my "Deep Sea Skiving" one was my most prized possession -- and I only wish I still had some JUMBO stereo speakers with black foam on 'em to pin these on now! (Damn you, Steve Jobs.)

Last Tango in Key West

On their final day at the Island House in Key West, Levi and Ryan made the most of each moment together. Click HERE to see what transpired between the frisky foreplay, above, and after the lovin', below. (Photos by Jason Rowan)

Sorry, Wrong Number

God knows I'm not looking for anybody else to lose his job or anything. But I'm guessing not even Steve Martin's former poor black child in the "The Jerk" could muster up much excitement for the arrival of the new phone book anymore. For weeks, stacks and stacks of these have been sitting on stoops all over Manhattan -- with some going directly into the recycling bin -- prompting me to wonder if they should be delivered in an "on-demand" fashion moving forward.

On the Rag, Vol. 69

A weekly look at what's happening in the city's gay rags:

Next tells you All About Eve -- New Year's Eve, that is, HERE.

Meanwhile, Odyssey features a promotional photo of Bel Ami's new bareback porn twins (um, gross) Milo and Elijah Peters. A pal tipped me off to the fact that the upstart gay rag appears to be the subject of a new project billed as "a documentary series focusing on Odyssey magazine, financed by famed transsexual Alexis Arquette, that will give the viewer unprecedented insight into the world of gay porn, the most elusive industry in the world" (good for Alexis, who knew she even had any?).

However, the production company's Web site is unclear if this is something that is still being shopped around, is about to come out, or was already released (it says Now Playing in one place and Coming Soon in another). And the link to Oddyssey (sic) Magazine.net takes you to a nonworking page, further adding to the confusion.

Thanksgiving in Arizona

In Tucson, striking an album-cover pose with my niece and nephew; below, shopping on Fourth Avenue with my mom and sister

I must confess, things got pretty ugly for a moment around my apartment on Christmas morning. You see, my ever-vain lover was at it again, and decided to surreptitiously delete a photo he didn't like off my camera -- only he accidentally deleted everything, including photos I hadn't downloaded yet of our Thanksgiving trip to Arizona to visit my family. (I have literally begged him for years to leave my camera alone, and that I actually "caught" him in the act, but he denied what he was doing only fueled my outrage.) Truth is, I was already feeling a blue being so far from home on my favorite holiday that having yet another memory "erased" in a flash just was a little more than I could bear at that moment. (I'm 42, but without my parents to tell me when it's "OK" to open presents, it still doesn't feel right.) Fortunately, a quick tweet about my dilemma led me to some free software that allowed me recover most of the images the following day (SMILE!!!), a few of which I joyously share with you now. (Oh, and Michael got to live.) The $64,000 question is, of course, has Michael learned his lesson? Well, moments after recovering the photos he immediately came around asking if we could "please delete" the one that prompted the whole nightmare. So I think we have our answer ...
