Consider the 'Source'

Fresh off his adorable appearance on "The Daily Show," Jake Gyllenhaal -- along with costar Michelle Monaghan and -- were at the Cinema Society & Coach screening of their new film, "Source Code," at the Crosby Street Hotel. I'm not a fan of science fiction, so I'll definitely be passing on this one. But I'm happy to see Jake's still working, given his limited, um, range. Others in attendance:

Lowe and Behold

Here's another photo Annie Leibowitz shot for Rob Lowe's Vanity Fair cover story, which is actually an excerpt from his soon-to-be-released memoir, "Stories I Only Tell My Friends." The laborious auditioning process for "The Outsiders" he writes about is fascinating stuff -- and only has me wanting to read more, like what went on during the filming of "St. Elmo's Fire" and the 1988 sex tape.

   Lowe is every bit as sexy at 47 as he was in his 20s, but even when his looks fade, he's already lined up two successors. Those are sons Johnowen, 15, and Matthew, 17, waiting in the wings., although there'll only ever really be one true Youngblood for me ...

Rafael Nadal Sets Up Dream Semifinal

Saw a little of Rafael Nadal's three-set victory over Tomas Berdych yesterday in Miami. The win -- and the injury -- were nothing new for the world number 1. An impending semifinal showdown with Roger Federer -- who has slipped to No. 3 in the rankings -- is. Should be fun!
