Remains of the Day (09/23)

Boystack: It's been a bizarre 24 hours in which two 1990s gay porn stars whom I knew back in my L.A. days made news: Brett Winters, for defying the odds, and Kevin Williams, for becoming the latest casualty. Brett (aka David Toohey) was seeing my roommate when I first arrived in town, while Kevin (aka Ted Currall) had dated a frat boy I worked with at a bank in college and later became a regular at my West Hollywood home when I lived with Mike Henson, aka Ken Seymour. It would be impossible for today's generation -- where everyone's a sex worker for (at least) 15 minutes -- to begin to understand the stigma and intrigue of it all at the time, an era I remember with mixed emotions.
