No Indian Wells predictions from me this year -- it's Novak's first since 2019(!) -- but there definitely seem to be a number of players capable of winning.
The Athletic has an interesting article about Carlos -- that wisely points out that he's won two majors and been ranked No. 1 by 20 so will probably be just fine -- examining the quasi slump he's in, having not won a tournament in eight months after winning a lot of them before then.
