If you're anything like me, you'd like nothing more than to rid yourself of the owner of Twitter. Although I'm shocked it took as long as it did, there's finally a serious competitor up and running that I know old fans of tweeting are hoping catches on. (It's going to need a desktop version if it really wants to be a replacement.) Although its owner is problematic in his own right, anything is better than you-know-who. The annoying news is you have to use your Instagram handle to join -- and kenneth212, which I have just about everywhere, was already taken by someone who doesn't use it. I signed up yesterday too. I'm not quite ready to let go of Twitter but want to check this out. I do find it harder to see conversations on Threads which is annoying but maybe I'm not familiar enough with the app to know how to see conversations.
