Spit-Roasted

My colonoscopy went off without a hitch this morning — my doctor said everything looked great -- so I celebrated with churro French toast sticks and a Propofol hangover nap! Very relieved/happy. My endoscopy was great too -- my esophagus has healed by taking acid-reflux meds

I think it’s normal to get anxious about these potentially life-altering diagnostic tests. But having lost my brother, namesake uncle and two first cousins to digestive-related cancers all when they were around my age (or younger) — plus my maternal uncle had esophageal cancer and my mother has Barrett's esophagus — always gets my mind racing. Am grateful for the good news as I know it’s not to be taken for granted. 🙏

Great news. I had a spot on my pancreas. As my father died of pancreatic cancer as did my best friend last year, I was concerned. But an MRI showed that it wasn't cancerous. But I have to do an MRI every two years for ten years, assuming I live that long :)

Have to get them yearly due to being a polyp grower. Every year, I wonder whether this is the year one of them is cancerous.
Just reminds us that living in the now is what matters.
Good to see you tested negative.

That's great! Husband had a cancer scare last summer, so I understand what you mean.

Great news!!

Yes, with the history you listed my mind would be racing to the point of being in bed until the procedure and results were given.

Now on to a bright Christmas. The tree is up, almost all presents bought, Christmas baking is in the freezer, and cards have been written and mailed.....

Best of the season!!
