Fjord Information

Hey, gang! Sorry for going radio silent yesterday -- the first weekday I haven't blogged in more than 17 years. We had a very busy weekend, first seeing the Yeah Yeah Yeahs (with special guests the Linda Lindas and Japanese Breakfast) in Forest Hills on Saturday and then celebrating my mother-in-law's 83rd birthday Sunday with family in New Jersey, a most special occasion. And now today Damian and I are flying to Copenhagen, which will be the first stop on our two-week swing through Scandinavia, followed by Oslo, Bergen and Trondheim, then Stockholm. Along the way we hope to tour some 17th century castles, sail through the fjords and, perhaps, as with A Flock Seagulls, aurora borealis will come in view. Normally I try to line up some posts before I leave -- at the bare minimum some almost-bare Morning Wood -- but the time got away from me before I could. Instead, I will post from time to time along our travels, perhaps foreshadowing what my blog may eventually morph into. xo
