Was saddened to hear about the passing of Don Everly, the older of the legendary Everly Brothers. (Phil died in 2014 at age 74.) Although it's impossible to add much when you've influenced and touched the likes of everyone from the Beatles and the Hollies to Simon and Garfunkel and the Eagles, I will say this: When Damian proposed to me on that balcony in Buenos Aires in the fall of 2019, the first song I dreamed of having played at our reception was today's song of the day, That "Devoted to You" was actually the B-side of the single "Bird Dog" yet still reached No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 on its own tells you everythign you need to know about this romantic gem. RIP, Don. You boys will not be forgotten.
