Russia Captures the ATP Cup

Congrats to Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev, who led Russia to the ATP Cup title on Sunday, producing two resounding singles wins to defeat Italy 2-0.

One year ago, Russia fell short in the semi-finals. But this year, Medvedev and Rublev proved a dominant force. They won all eight of their singles matches to help their country to glory. Rublev began the championship tie with a 6-1, 6-2 victory against Fabio Fognini, and Medvedev followed that up with a 6-4, 6-2 win against Matteo Berrettini.

“I want to thank my team. Andrey won all of his matches,” Medvedev said during the trophy ceremony. “Thank you for being with me here and lifting this trophy."

Hard to call any team with Matteo Berrettini "losers."
