This one is in memory of Ricky Valance, who died over the weekend at 84 after a long battle with dementia. "Tell Laura I Love Her" spent three week atop the U.K. charts, making Valance (born David Spencer" the first solo Welsh man to have a No. 1 British single. (It was also a hit in n 14 other countries, selling more than seven million copies.) They don't make teen tragedy songs like this anymore. RIP.
