Joe Biden Unequivocally Denies Assault Allegation

Good grief, talk about the completely wrong takeaway. No one ever meant blindly believe women 100% of the time -- we said listen to them and take their claims seriously instead of immediately dismissing them, as had too often been the norm. But each case still needs to be evaluated on its own merits. Please tell me the person who interviewed Joe Biden understands the difference.

An update since the interview aired, via WSJ:
Mr. Biden on Friday called for any such complaint to be made public. First, he said he was requesting that the secretary of the Senate ask the National Archives to identify any record of Ms. Reade’s alleged complaint. A representative for the National Archives directed inquiries about Mr. Biden’s personnel records to the Senate, stating: “Any records of Senate personnel complaints from 1993 would have remained under the control of the Senate.” A representative for the secretary of the Senate didn’t return a request for comment.
Later on Friday, Mr. Biden sent a letter to the secretary of the Senate, Julie Adams, asking her office to “take or direct whatever steps are necessary” to establish the location of any relevant records from his Senate office. “I would ask that the public release include not only a complaint if one exists, but any and all other documents in the records that relate to the allegation,” Mr. Biden wrote.
Mr. Biden added that Senate papers he donated to the University of Delaware “do not contain personnel files.”

Yes we must do the right thing us Democrats. no matter what, when all we are doing is taking laser focus off the travesty which is Trump and his greatest failure which is his handling of COVID AND HIS TOTAL INABILITY AND DESIRE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. I completely agree we Democrat’s destroy ourselves in the pursuit of “doing the right thing” and the Republicans have no such qualms or need. Hopefully
This plays out well but when I saw calls from Bernie Bros trying to get Biden to quit, I also realized his accuser is a Bernie Bro who doesn’t plan to vote in the fall election. Shades of Monica Lewinsky this is not. Even she regrets her decisions as the pawn of the late Linda Tripp.

Here's an analysis of the history of the assault accusation and the problems with it.

Yes, if there is a formal complaint, as the accuser says there is, let's see it. She has been inconsistent and vague, and is a fervent Bernie supporter - her story is not very likely to be true, given what we know now. So real evidence that she raised this years ago would be a big boost to her case, although a complaint is not proof of anything.

The accuser has change her name multiple times. She has changed the "assault" story multiple times. The bottom line is why- if this is was true- she did not bring this up 27 years ago?

Women deserve to be believed if their claims are plausible and are supported by evidence. The claims against Kavanaugh were supported by witnesses and the accuracy of the story that his victim told. Even though Mitch suppressed the witness evidence, we all can be fairly sure that he was suppressed because it would have been damming. The claims by the prostitute/porn actor against Trump were supported by the payments, other paper trails and his general "pussygrabbing locker-room talk" behavior. I am not aware of how well the claims against Biden are supported by anything.
