Song of the Day: 'Don't Cry for Me, Argentina' by Madonna

Damian and I are celebrating our anniversary in Bariloche right now. But soon I will be at the Evita Peron Museum in Buenos Aires, acting like the biggest queen ever recounting Eva's short-but-glorious life, and Madonna's finest starring role in a music video film to date. (Eagerly awaiting to see if there are tours of the balcony over at the Presidential Palace!)

Happy Anniversary!!

I just needed to assert that Patty LuPone's rendition is far superior.

I like Sinead O'Connor's version better.

I’m partial to the original... Julie Covington... who you should know from the brilliant 1970’s British TV show, ‘Rock Follies.’
If it wasn’t for her success, the show would have never taken flight.
As for the movie? Well... I saw the star sing the Oscar nominated song, live... well... you know...
The worlds biggest star and greatest singer of all time said her performance that night was due to nerves. That’s likely.
(I think you’d love ‘Rock Follies!’ It’s dated. Dated, in the best of ways!!)
