But what I think it misses is that adding a public option is the perfect gateway for everyday people to warm up to Medicare-for-All. Obamacare sort of did that. But it was mostly used by freelancers and low-income people -- and still gave you insurance through a private company. But if people who had jobs that offered insurance got a taste of Medicare, then it would really catch on. Pete's plan seems like a logical way to make that happen.
