Morrissey delivered another great solo show Saturday night at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, just as he has been for the past 30+ years. I had hoped there would be some storytelling or nostalgia at this seven-night Broadway residency -- a la Bruce Springsteen -- but we take what we can get from this “charming” man.
At least there was a giant cat ...
And my brother Terence -- the biggest Morrissey fan I know -- was able to come up for the show!
Highlight of the evening: An impeccable cover of friend Chrissie Hynde’s “Back on the Chain Gang.”
