Billboard Names Top 5 Singles of 2015

For a charts-obsessed youth it's pretty daunting that I have never heard of a single one of these songs, even in passing. Surprising how much not driving can affect your exposure to music.

C'mon Kenneth!!! "uptown funk" is the bomb! Not to mention "sugar" by M5.

I tried to listen/watch the video of that "Drake" fellow's "Hotline Bling." Turns out I am white. And old. And possibly racist.

Ah, a fellow chart-obsessed youth :-) My dad brought home Billboard magazine once a month and I listened to Casey Kasem's countdown every week and tracked them in a notebook. Uptown Funk was EVERYWHERE this year, but I'd be hard pressed to identify the others in that list.

I've heard two - but one of them (Maroon 5) was only bc it was played at a Spin class.

Uptown Funk was everywhere this year. I find it hard to believe any sentient adult, especially one who works for the media and writes a blog that attempts to deal with popular culture, was able to escape it.

I, too, thought I had never heard of any of the songs, but I checked "Uptown Funk" on Youtube, and guess what? I've heard it NUMEROUS times. I suspect you have, too.

When "Happy" was first out and I was oblivious, I kept hearing this tune and assuming it was something old that I just had missed all my life. Turns out ... that was it.

Looking for "Uptown Funk" now ...
