Out Aussie comedian Josh Thomas’ "Please Like Me" returns to Pivot for a third season on Oct. 16 at 10 p.m. ET. Thomas, who got his start by becoming the youngest ever winner of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival's Raw Comedy Competition, is the creator, writer and star of the semiautobiographical show about a socially awkward 20-something adjusting to life out of the closet. I liken the show to "Girls" because there's nary a likable person on it, yet there's just enough there -- a mentally unstable mom; a straight roommate suffering from arrested development, a would-be stepmother who tells it like it is -- to keep me coming back for more, even if believing that every hot guy Down Under would be hooking up with this freak.
