Will Tommy Robredo Become First Openly Gay Male Tennis Pro?

Spanish dreamboat Tommy Robredo tweeted this photo after outlasting American Sam Querrey, 6-1, 5-7, 6-3, to advance to the third round in Cincinnati this afternoon. At 33 and still ranked in the Top 30, Robredo would be the ideal first man to come out as gay on the ATP Tour -- and not just because of how he looks. Anyone have any insight about this?

Not sure how the photo alludes to his potential coming out? Anyway, he attended an event a couple years ago at which BJK was being honored. In her remarks she mentioned how it was great to have out players like Tommy Robredo...someone had to tell her he wasn't out and she said, "Really??"

I have long-since thought Tommy was the most beautiful man on the tour, even over Deliciano, Dimitrov or Haas. I would be THRILLED if this were true. Question, what is sparking the question about him coming out/being gay now? Are there murmurs?

He is. At a book signing in 2006-ish, I asked Billie Jean when we'd see a gay male tennis player. She proceeded to out Tommy and said he travels with his bf all the time. True story.
