Song of the Day: 'You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine' by Lou Rawls

From the Greatest Songs That Stalled at No. 2 on the Billboard 100. The genesis of this becoming song of the day is one I'm all too familiar with. Michael, his nephew Justin and J's fiancee, Daeng, were at Penn Station on Saturday waiting for a train to Long Island to visit the Smiths. Our favorite busker was performing a song I adore, but I didn't write it down as I was POSITIVE I would be able to remember when it came time for the next installment of this series. Cut to Sunday night and I had spent the last 36 hours racking my brain trying to remember (to no avail) when Michael and I made our nearly nightly stop at Rite Aid to buy some stuff. The young cashier was singing to himself as I approached, but quickly caught himself when I got within hearing range ... or so he thought. He was singing "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine" -- and I INSTANTLY remembered that that was the song our street performer had dazzled us with on Saturday! (Michael nearly fell over, it was sooooo bizarre.) Luckily the cashier was a good sport as I nearly jumped over the counter to hug him, the relief felt that good! I'm convinced weird things like this happen to me more than normal people. But I've never been anyone but me, so I suppose I'll never know if this is true. Enjoy!
