Just stumbled upon this ultra rare footage of Jeanne Evert, in what might have been the highlight of her career when she upset No. 2 seed Rosie Casals at the Tennis Club of Fort Lauderdale tournament in 1973. I've known of Jeanne forever, but because she was never the Serena to Chris' Venus, I had never seen her play until now. The resemblance to her legendary big sister is uncanny, although the strokes aren't quite as polished. Enjoy!

What I love about watching these old-time matches is how much time they have between strokes. In one match with Chrissie vs Evonne, Chrissie had time to fix her hair, her necklace and dress! Yes, it was on clay.
