Louise Erdich Wins National Book Award for 'The Round House'


The National Book Awards were given out last night here in New York, and Louise Erdrich took home the prize for fiction for “The Round House,” a novel about racial injustice. List of winners below, a full report from the gala HERE.

  • Poetry: David Ferry, Bewilderment: New Poems and Translations (University of Chicago Press) 


  • Nonfiction: Katherine Boo, Behind the Beautiful Forevers: Life, Death, and Hope in a Mumbai Undercity (Random House) 


  • Fiction: Louise Erdrich, The Round House (Harper, an imprint of HarperCollinsPublishers)
