Kraft Dinner

This is the box I grew up with, which does at least have the word "dinners" near the logo.

My family has always referred to Kraft macaroni and cheese as "Kraft Dinner." Did yours? (My mom would also make a "tuna sauce" that we would ladle on top of it, which I loved but I would imagine most people would vomit at the sight of.) Apparently we're Canadian. (Also referenced HERE.)

I thought the fact that we grew up across the river from Canada -- where the boxes seem to have Kraft Dinner printed on them -- might have had something to do with our calling it that, until I remembered my mom started it and she grew up in Omaha!

We always called it that as well! I thought it was a native thang! Weird?

I'm Canadian and I buy what's called here "Kraft Dinner" by the case .... my teenagers still love it. My mother made "Kraft Dinner Casserole" throughout the 60s and 70s. It was hamburger browned with onions and mixed with prepared Kraft Dinner and a can of condensed tomato soup. I like still it but with the addition of hot peppers.

Nope. But I DO remember, "Kraft Chicken and Egg Noodle Dinner" which was square noodles in a thin gravy and teeny, tiny morsels of dehydrated chicken. So, it must have been part of the line.

Shocking. Where's the dinner part? Meat? Salad? Veggies? Half of my family is from Canada (Windsor) and I never saw this box or heard them refer to it as a "dinner". Oh well!

OMG I thought my family was the only one that served tuna and crony as we called it. We were poooor and Once in while when we were flush mom would and ground beef. I still love it till this day. It reminds me of my late mother, and how much she loved us.
